Monday
We started a new project called “Unplugged”. Unplugged means we cannot use any of technology that we use daily. For example: cell phones, internet, music (mp3 players, iPods), TV and beauty stuff that we use daily (hair dryer). Starting from today I will try to reach my aim, which is to understand how I am dependent on technology.
I really had to contact with my friend that is leaving in the USA. It was emergency, and I had to talk to her. Plus, I had to watch TV! My little sister was crying and we were alone in our house. So I had to turn the TV on and put on MTV to make my sister calm down. She is one years old and likes music, lol. I think this is acceptable because it its right to judge something by its purpose. My purpose wasn’t just watch TV because I am bored or something like that . I think these reasons are acceptable. I didn’t go to hi5 and stuff. I did my homework and gone to bed.
Tuesday
This day was really successful for me! I didn’t watch TV, didn’t get into the internet didn’t used any technology this day. I slept really long and when I woke up I started to do my homework!! Wooho, isn’t it nice? Today I understood that anyone can live without technology if they really want to or if they have things that they have to do. Of course it would be hard to live without water boiler, microwave, fridge or something that like. Our goal is based on the technology that is not very needed but become our use and hobby. Many years ago people could just live without these things and succeed.
Wednesday
I had a bad day today. I just wanted to watch TV, listen to music and lay all day on my bed. Today I used the internet to do my homework. I think this project is going on well with me. I am sleeping, and after that instead of chatting on messenger, I am doing my homework. Today, a long as I can’t watch news on TV, I read some newspaper to see what is going around and asked my parents. I read my book that I have started months ago called “The stranger” by Albert Camus. I looked after my sister and cleaned the house a little. This is really strange that without knowing what I am doing, I tried to listen to music! But of course I stopped at a right time and didn’t use technology today.
There was nothing to do after all so I started to do my homework like from 7 o’clock! It is cool. Before going to bed I wrote this journal.
Thursday
I am so happy that this project is going to end tomorrow. I am really excitedJ. Today I came after school and slept. After waking up I went to swimming pool with my father. After that I looked my fashion magazines just to have fun. I looked after my sister as usual and started to do some school works. I gone through my old study books from previous schools no revise my science exam, I looked for physics information that I didn’t get during school. Before going to bed I finished some of my school assignment and wrote my journal for tech free week.

Friday
Today everything was OVER after 3 15. I came home and watched MTV and listened to music. Chatting with my friends was sooo enjoyable. I think this project was very useful. In other hand, besides from understanding how dependent we are on technology, this project is a chance for us to understand how patient we are. I think I am going to try to live without my cell phone and internet for a week during my summer break to see how it works.

Evaluation
For investigation:
At the beginning of the project we sat with our class and Ms. Wilson and discussed about wikiality (modern internet) and internet many years ago. I answered all of the questions including what is a wiki, information about who creates and edits them and why do people use it. I explained what are our task and the importance of learning this Wikipedia project for us as a student and as an individual in developing society. Then, after answering all of these questions we had to post this on our blogs. Then the next following questions we had to answer in groups but I didn’t have a chance to do that. I investigated how Wikipedia gets its information, the role of people that are in the charge of all the information on wiki. Also, I explained how or what would be the process of solving the problem, if the will be a debate about including information in an article. As a student I wrote what I think about Wikipedia and how the information in it is reliable. After answering the questions I listed all the methods of finding inaccuracies on Wikipedia and how to know whether an article contains inaccurate information.
I think Wikipedia.com is the biggest source of information and knowledge from people all around the world. In my opinion it is useful to use Wikipedia.com to get information because it gives our society more opportunity to see things from many points of views of different people. Wikis are the modern version of many history books or encyclopaedias, because these books were written by the many historians, exports, writers, philosophers and etc. Our work that we included and our corrections are very affective. May be we helped some people to know and read not the wrong information, but what is real and true.
Next time I will try to include more information and show a work with an evidence of using many resources to investigate this topic. I have learnt so many things that I didn’t know before doing this project. I didn’t know every single question on Criterion A. But I researched about it and answered them which means that there were so many things that I have learnt.
Test:

· Choose a short article (because it will easier to find a mistake or add some more

· Read it very careful and see if there is a mistake
· Find sites that have a same article and compare to Wikipedia to see if there is any mistakes.

I think I followed my design specifications very careful. I choose a topic or an article on Wikipedia that I know very well, which is my favorite singer George Nozuka. I included two sources that have corrected information in it. I followed Ms. Wilson’s Instructions to show and correct a mistake.
Next time I would include more detailed design specifications for my work.

I found and copied the Wikipedia section that I was planning to change or correct. I showed my corrections on my blog using the method that Ms. Wilson showed us. After that to make sure that my article contains some mistake, I researched and find accurate sources for the information that I would liked to correct. I found two sites and cited them in MLA format. I made a list of three design specifications for my final Wikipedia correction, which you can see above.
Next time if I had a chance to do the design again I would include more sources that has accurate information, which would be a prove of Wikipedia’s mistake.

Our new project is to investigate and research about wiki and its importance in nowadays. Internet at the very beginning was only for:1) Checking mails2) Read3) Check some sitesPeople created something new and big, a website which can be changed by people all around the world which are called wiki- collaborate (for example wikipedia.com, wikianswers.com). A wiki is a set of web pages where every page can be edited by whoever is visiting and reading that website and wants to change or add some information. This all means that basically anyone can create a wiki page and visitors can edit or add what they think they need to. After that, another person gets into that page and edits it in his/her way and so on.
Our task is to find inaccuracies on Wikipedia, even though someone might change it back or may be not. That means there is no point of finding inaccuracies, the whole point is to understand and learn about what Wikipedia is. In my opinion it is important for me to learn about wiki because it is huge now in our society. I think a wiki pages are the source of communication and chance of expressing ourselves as well as podcasts. Using the wikipedia.com for doing school assignments is very inaccurate because people can put wrong information in it. That is why it is important for me as a student to learn more about these sites. As a learning person I think it is important to be a part of the developing society.
Anyone in the whole world who wants to share their knowledge or opinion is in charge of deciding what goes into an article and what gets removed from the article. Wikipedia gets its information from those people. If there is some debate about whether a particular bit of information should or should not be included in an article the process of deciding this problem might not end. Or some people might just delete that page and start a new article over again. I think Wikipedia.com is reliable because this site will become the biggest source of information and knowledge from people all around the world. In my opinion it is useful to use Wikipedia.com to get information because it gives me more opportunity to see things from many points of views of different people.
